No Game No Life Episode 3 "Expert" Review

THE BEST AND YET THE MOST HILARIOUS EPISODE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ALL OF THE ANIMES THAT I'VE WATCHED SO FAR.
Yes, it's true guys. I assure you, this is one of the best episodes so far in the anime adaptation of No Game No Life (that's in my opinion, of course). But seriously, if you'll watch this episode, I'm sure you will really enjoy and at the same time, laugh so hard because of the AWESOMENESS of Sora (and of course, Shiro and Steph helped in some of the parts, but it's mostly Sora just making the hilarious stuff in this episode). But that's enough opinion from me, now let's move on to the review of the episode!

No one messes with Blank. And nobody can interfere with them, too.
Yeah, so in this episode, we start with Blank trying to take over the position of King of Imanity with Steph trying to interfere and somewhat saying to the siblings "are you crazy?". Of course, even though Blank's trying to show almost impossible and somewhat stupid things in front of many people, they're still intelligent and know what they're doing. REMEMBER THAT, PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MESS AND TRY TO LAUGH AT THEM, BECAUSE I AM 100% SURE THAT THEY WILL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU IN JUST A SINGLE GAME. SO WATCH OUT, HATERS. Anyways, they step in and Sora, I think, was the one who shouted "Objection!" in front of the crowd, and suprisingly though, this was the first joke that was shown in this episode, I think. And I really laughed when I saw this. Remember the BGM that we always see in animes or in movies? Well guess what? THE BGM WAS ACTUALLY PLAYED IN SORA'S PHONE AFTER HE SHOUTED "OBJECTION!". Nice work, Madhouse and maybe credits also to Yu Kamiya.
Really Sora? That was the best joke ever in terms of playing the BGM. Well done. I really love what you did here guys.
Yeah, so basically that was it. Then after all of the talking in front of many people, they decided to play a game and the winner would be the King (Ruler would be the appropriate term here) of Imanity. And here comes the best part / the part with the most hilarious things you've ever seen in this anime (or episode, if that's what you want to call it). THE CHESS GAME AGAINST CLAMMY. Yeah, they decided to play an awesome game of chess wherein the chess pieces have their own will. But before that, they had a discussion with Clammy inside the carriage that they were in while traveling to the destination of the game. Then after that long chat, well LET THE MAGNIFICENT GAME OF CHESS BEGIN!

And you'll find out the best part about these pieces later.
So in this magnificent game of chess that they played, at first, the pieces didn't move on their own yet. It was Shiro who moved the pieces into their designated board places during the first half of the game. But then the siblings realized soon that Clammy was just instructing them to move forward without any specific position or moves that the chess pieces can make. Then that's when they understood and learned that "the pieces have wills of their own". This is what makes their game even more interesting to watch. Then after that, Shiro was unable to continue the game because they learned that you can't sacrifice your pieces in that game. Then here comes the START OF THE BEST PART. And I really mean it. SORA TO THE RESCUE! Basically he just motivated the chess pieces to give their best since Sora's a really good guy in terms of convincing people what to do, as seen in Episode 1 wherein he convinced the innkeeper to let him stay for 4 nights with just a coin, I think. Anyways, Sora switches position with Shiro and shouts to the pieces "Attention all pieces!". And then he just says random stuff he can use in order to motivate the pieces like "if you win, you will earn the right to bang any woman you like" and stuff like that. Seriously though, Clammy, Steph and Shiro, I think, were VERY MUCH SURPRISED of what Sora had just said in front of the pieces. And then the pieces started shouting, meaning that they were motivated that much and started fighting the opposing pieces with magnificent moves like backflips, sideswipes, etc.
Oh yeah. Here comes the best part, and the worst part for Clammy. Good luck though beating the siblings, because you can't.
Then after seeing all of the destruction happening in the chess board, Clammy tries to let herself win by using cheats againts the siblings, while the siblings are not. Then the pieces of the siblings start turning evil and opposed Sora and Shiro. Now I tell you, here comes the best part of the episode. SORA AGAIN TO THE RESCUE! He basically convinces the queen to side back to their side because Sora's just really good in terms of romantic games too. Then after that long convincing, the queen sides back to their side and the pieces too start turning back to white. Then in the end of the episode, Sora tells Steph that "there's more than one way to win the game and that's winning without fighting!".

Is it finally over? Did Sora and Shiro win? We'll see in the next episode.

So in my opinion, this episode's one of the best episodes that I've seen so far in the anime series. The way that Sora and Shiro plans really prove that you can never beat them. No matter how hard you try, even if you cheat. And also in this episode, we see Sora and Shiro's godly powers in playing games. Seriously though, I'm not even that close to their intelligence and skills in terms of playing games, even chess. And that's the reason why I adore them. And for the rating of the episode, I'd rate the episode a 9/10 for being awesome and at the same time, hilarious for me. I hope you'll love the anime series and I do recommend you to watch this episode.

NGNL Anime is ending in 12 episodes :(

Hey guys! I'm really sad to say that the NGNL anime will be ending on June 25, 2014 if you haven't heard this news yet and will only have 12 episodes in total for Season 1 MAYBE. Seriously, when I read that this would really happen, I was like about to cry. Really. It's so sad to see one of the best animes that I've watched just end like that. So yeah, I'm really hoping that there would be a Season 2 to this anime because I seriously love NGNL and Sora and Shiro and I really want it to end in a long time just like the Naruto series. Let's just pray that there will be a Season 2 after this season. And for all those NGNL fans, please support NGNL until the end!

Character Opinions: Jibril

SPOILER ALERT: DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE NOVEL OR THE MANGA, OR HAVEN'T REACHED EPISODE 6 IN THE ANIME YET!!

Hey guys! Starting today I'm gonna upload some Character Opinions based on my opinions, of course, since I'm bored and classes are gonna start tomorrow. Yeah, I know its gonna be fun on the first day, but at the same time, I might not be posting that frequent. Anyways, off to the character opinion. And this time, I'll be giving my opinion on Jibril. I don't know why I picked Jibril first, but for me, Jibril is just so awesome. She's just really awesome. And at the same time, she's really respectful to both Sora and Shiro.
Those faces though. Especially Steph. Oh Steph, you're really are a Steph after all.
Anyways, in my opinion, Jibril is a smart, girl who's not even shy at all. Especially in the part in her battle with the siblings in Materialization Shiritori where Sora said that most of the girls clothes would be blown. Only Shiro and Jibril were not covering their body where else Steph was like "Don't see me naked or else I'll kill you" kind of expression. And the both of them just stayed like that until the game was over (don't worry, they're not really naked. Only the skin was shown, no body parts are shown so its like they're 3/4 naked. But there's no serious adult content, just a bit only if you're pervertic, of course). She also has a tendency to drool at things if she's super interested in it like in the part where she drooled at Sora and Shiro's CherryPad (instead of Apple's logo at the back, it's instead a cherry that's shown) and also in the part where they visited the Embassy of the Warbeasts to Imanity's building. She practically drooled when she first saw the wide screens. And I also like when she addresses the siblings as her "Master" everytime she talks to them.
Stop drooling Jibril. But that face though. Hahaha, its soo cute!
Overall, I like Jibril as an assistant to Sora and Shiro. She's still great and had offered a lot of help to the siblings to help unite Disboard as one and to fight the One True God of Disboard again. Well, I think that's it for Jibril. But seriously though, I really love her being one of the main casts of No Game No Life. Keep up the good work Madhouse and of course the creator, Yu Kamiya. I'll surely watch this until the end of the anime, if there's an end, of course.

No Game No Life Episode 2 Review "Challenger"

View of Steph's "Steph-a-Scope". Heehee Sora, you've got yourself an admirer right now! (By the way, don't mind Shiro in the background, that's sibling complex she's showing, and don't worry, that's normal for siblings who don't separate from each other.)

Yeah, so right now, let's move on to Episode 2! In this episode, we finally see how the Ten Rules work out and we finally get to be introduced to Stephanie Dora! Stephanie is the daughter of the former king of Imanity. And, well, after her grandfather's death, she gambled to become the next queen of Imanity, but lost (and she lost her clothes too. But she wore a towel after that, so there's no adult content). Yeah, so in my opinion, this episode is so far the only episode right now that has like so many pervertic stuff (but there's no adult content based on what I said above). You also get to see Sora and Shiro's weakness here in this episode. Anyways, in this episode, Sora taunts Steph for her foolishness and also insults her grandfather, the former king of Imanity. As a result, Steph gets mad and is about to hit him. But then Sora challenges her to a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors under the pledges. Even though she almost predicted what Sora would use, she still lost. And it's really funny because Sora told her that he would only use paper, but in the end, he used rock against Steph, causing her to lose (if you don't understand what I mean, just watch the episode and you'll see what I mean).
Remember, Blank never loses. And so they kept their promise.
So as a result of losing, Steph was forced to fall in love with Sora because of Sora's desire for a girlfriend and gets jealous easily when he ignores her. And after some talking, Shiro intentionally pushes Sora to Steph, causing Sora to accidentally touch Steph's breasts and also causes Sora to receive a scolding from Shiro (If you're planning to tell me that I somewhat know and understand these adult-ish things and like say bad stuff about me, I'm telling you, don't do it. I already know what these things are and I'm already mature and NOT pervertic). But then, Steph kicks Sora out of the room and gets separated from Shiro, now knowing that they're suffering from extreme Separation anxiety (they can't be separated at all costs). This will likely play an interesting role in their journey as it is their only common and biggest weakness.
They turn back to normal once seeing each othe again. Especially Sora. xD
Yeah, so after all of the commotion, they move into the palace, based on what Sora said to the pledged Steph. We also see that the kingdom is different from Japan because everything is written in Japanese (despite the people speaking in Japanese. Ohoho...) but Shiro learns it in 15 minutes while Sora takes an hour to learn Imanity. Steph then is impressed by the siblings and is hopeful that maybe the siblings will be the next successor of Imanity and reclaim their territory from the other races.
Now they look awesome. Very awesome.
In the end of the episode, we meet Clammy Zell, the woman who beat Steph in the King's Tournament by cheating in the first episode. Sora and her become somewhat like rivals competing for the place of King in Imanity and Sora makes up his mind that he and Shiro will become the next ruler of Imanity and that he and Shiro will stay in this world.

In my opinion, this episode is a bit adult-ish, but at the same time, funny and great. In fact, No Game No Life is one of the best animes that I have watched so far. It somewhat relates to my life as a gamer and the story is really interesting. The characters are really unique and somewhat unpredictable, doing all sorts of crazy things as long as they benefit from it. I'd rate this episode a 9/10 rating. And I really recommend you to watch and, maybe read the series. It's really fun, I promise.

No Game No Life: Episode 1 Review "Beginner"

Well then, let the games begin.

If you could live in a world where everything is decided by games, no war, no fighting, just pure games and almost every single conflict or misunderstanding will be decided by games, would you choose to live in that world? If you'd ask me, then my answer would be YES. I'm sure, everyone wants to live in a world where even a very simple problem would be solved by playing a game. Well, if you're good in gaming, then this is the place for you. But for now, No Game No Life is the story of two NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers, Sora and Shiro, who are step-siblings and form the famous gamer account『 』a.k.a. BLANK. They beat every single game they play, and never lost. Many think that they are cheaters, but actually, they're not. They really just have godly powers in playing games.

Yeah, Go Shiro, eat food while playing Blank's main account with you feet. That's what makes you cool (and cute) anyway.

Yeah, so basically, this is quite an interesting story for me. I have never actually seen an anime like this, until now. And frankly speaking, a lot of animes nowadays usually have this kind of theme revolving around them, like Mekakucity Actors, and a lot more. But this anime has a unique theme compared to those other animes who have a similar theme to this:  Sora and Shiro are both geniuses. Sora, has a brilliant IQ and can read what his opponents can do based on observing their behaviour and motivation, but has a problem with computing large amount of numbers unlike Shiro, who is a born genius and can solve problems easily and has good logic, but is unable to understand human emotions or behaviour, thus they rely on both of each other, making them basically invincible in games and in other things. And the siblings somewhat have a difference in their attitude too. Sora, who is usually seen in a carefree behavior (maybe it's because of his name which means "sky") and Shiro, who is usually seen emotionless at times (except in Episode 9 and in other episodes). Oh, and one more thing, they can't be separated from each other even just by a door, they'll be rendered useless and can't do anything else until they see each other again (except in Episode 9, I don't know why).
No one can stop them and win against them.

They consider this world a "crappy game" and during this episode, it takes an interesting turn after the siblings beat an online chess game against a god from another world, a world where everything is decided by games, and get teleported there after they respond to another email sent to them. But for Blank, this world is an ideal world for them and when they arrive there in that world known as Disboard, its god, Tet, informs them of the 10 rules in this world.

The Ten Rules apply to every race in Disboard, including Sora and Shiro, and they can never be disobeyed or broken by any means possible. The Ten Rules are:

1. All murder, war, and robbery is forbidden in this world.
2. All conflict in this world will be resolved through games.
3. In games, each player will bet something that they agree is of equal value.
4. As long as it doesn’t go against number three, what they bet and the rules of the game will not be questioned.
5. The challenged party has the right to decide the rules of the game.
6. Any bets made in accordance with the pledges must be upheld.
7. Conflicts between groups will be conducted by designated representatives with absolute authority.
8. Being caught cheating during a game is grounds for an instant loss.
9. In the name of God, the previous rules may never be changed.
10. Let’s all have fun and play together!
But for Sora and Shiro, there can be no better world other than this. Based on their understanding of the rules, they won against a group of bandits and ended up taking everything, I mean everything, including their clothes. They also won a bag of gold on poker as well. For me, they probably won't leave this world and instead live in this world forever but that has not been confirmed yet. For now, let's just watch NGNL and have fun, based on the 10th rule of the Ten Rules. I also really loved the intro and the ending songs of NGNL, for me, it's like so catchy and at the same time, so soothing. If I were to give it a rating based on the entertainment, I'd give it a 9/10 rating. Good job NGNL and keep making episodes because I seriously love this anime.
